A Mindenes szótár freeware program, amit azt jelenti, hogy nem kell fizetni érte, de anyagi haszon sem húzható belőle. A szótár szabadon terjeszthető nem kereskedelmi célokra, feltéve hogy az állományokat semmilyen módon nem módosítják. A szójegyzékek szerzőik tulajdonát képezik, akiknek tehát szerzői joguk van rá.

A szótárprogram freeware, a szójegyzékek pedig szerzői jogilag védettek, így sem a szótárprogram, sem a szójegyzékek nem képeznek közkincset (public domain). A szójegyzékek felhatalmazásunk nélkül semmilyen formátumba nem alakíthatók át, és nem szerkeszthetők be semmilyen más programba.

A Mindenes szótár szerény próbálkozás, és a felhasználók hozzájárulásán alapul. Nem vállalunk felelősséget a szójegyzékek használatából, esetleges hibáiból vagy egyebekből adódó károkért.
